This PhD thesis mainly deals with the self-assembly of organic molecules of surfaces and the study of these assemblies by Scanning Tunnel Microscopy. A part of this work will concern the organic synthesis of the molecules but according to very simple straightforward procedures. Consequently, we are looking for a candidate with good knowledge in physics and/or material chemistry.
