叶杨（Gilbert Yang Ye）博士将于2025年春季加入美国东北大学（Northeastern University）土木与环境工程系担任助理教授（Assistant Professor）。现招收于2025年1-9月入学的数名全额奖学金博士生（Ph.D.），并长期欢迎本科、硕士、和访问博士生的交流与合作。研究方向为土木与环境工程领域的机器人、自动化与人机协作，具体包括但不限于：

•Human-AI/robot teaming: sensory sharing and mismatch in telepresense;

•Automation and AI in engineering: multi-sensory object recognition in adverse environments; safety alignment in trustworthy LLMs;

•Training and assistive technology: Haptic-rich VR/AR for scalable fine-motor skill training

Candidates should:

(1). Have a background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, industrial engineering, civil engineering, or other related fields.

(2). Have coding experience in one or more of the programming languages: Python, C++, C#.

(3). Be motivated about research and showcase excellent communication skills.

In addition to the minimum requirements, candidates with the following experiences are strongly encouraged to apply:

(1). Research experience and publications in related fields;

(2). Hands-on development experience in machine learning, robotic control, simulation in the physics engine, hardware fabrication and alteration.
