叶杨(Gilbert Yang Ye)博士将于2025年春季加入美国东北大学(Northeastern University)土木与环境工程系担任助理教授(Assistant Professor)。现招收于2025年1-9月入学的数名全额奖学金博士生(Ph.D.),并长期欢迎本科、硕士、和访问博士生的交流与合作。研究方向为土木与环境工程领域的机器人、自动化与人机协作,具体包括但不限于:
•Human-AI/robot teaming: sensory sharing and mismatch in telepresense;

Fully funded Ph.D. research assistant positions are available in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Northeastern University. The Ph.D. students will undertake research projects in construction automation, robotics, and human-robot interaction. The expected start date is January 2025. Candidates will work with their Ph.D. advisor (Dr. Gilbert Yang Ye) and other lab members on research related to artificial intelligence, robotics, human-robot interaction, and human factors in civil engineering.

Candidates should:
(1). Have a background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, industrial engineering, civil engineering, or other related fields.
(2). Have coding experience in one or more of the programming languages: Python, C++, C#.
(3). Be motivated about research and showcase excellent communication skills.

In addition to the minimum requirements, candidates with the following experiences are strongly encouraged to apply:
(1). Research experience and publications in related fields;
(2). Hands-on development experience in machine learning, robotic control, simulation in the physics engine, hardware fabrication and alteration.
