当地时间2025年4月29日,美国国家科学院公布了新当选的院士和外籍院士。此次共计120名院士及30名外籍院士当选,诺奖得主、中国中医科学院青蒿素研究中心屠呦呦教授当选外籍院士。
美国科学院成立于1863年的私人非营利性组织。它是美国国家科学、工程和医学的顶尖组织之一,拥有来自各个领域的知名学者和专家,包括诺贝尔奖得主和国家科学奖章获得者,美国科学院院士是美国的最高学术荣誉之一。美国科学院的成员由被选为院士的杰出科学家、工程师和医学专家组成。院士的选举是基于他们在自己的领域内所做出的卓越贡献和对整个领域的重要性。这些院士是通过对名誉和声望的高度认可而被选出来的。美国科学院还有两个重要的附属机构:国家工程学院(National Academy of Engineering)和国家医学院(National Academy of Medicine)。这两个附属机构也拥有自己的成员和任务,致力于推动和支持工程和医学领域的发展和创新。

屠呦呦,女,汉族,中共党员,1930年12月出生,浙江宁波人。1955年毕业于北京医学院(现北京大学医学部)药学系。
屠呦呦毕业后分配到卫生部中医研究院(现中国中医科学院)中药研究所工作至今,现为中国中医科学院青蒿素研究中心主任,终身研究员兼首席研究员,博士生导师。多年从事中药和中西药结合研究,突出贡献是发现并研发了新型抗疟药物青蒿素和双氢青蒿素。1978年屠呦呦领导的中医研究院中药所“523”研究组受到全国科学大会的表彰,1979年“抗疟新药青蒿素”获得国家发明奖二等奖。2011年获美国拉斯克临床医学研究奖,2015年获诺贝尔生理学或医学奖,同年获美国华伦·阿尔波特奖,2017年获2016年度国家最高科学技术奖,2018年获改革先锋称号,2019年被授予共和国勋章。
Alice Y. Cheung,美国马萨诸塞州立大学阿默斯特分校,国际著名植物学杂志Plant Physiology副主编。Dr. Alice Y. Cheung出生于中国香港,1982年获耶鲁大学博士学位,1982至1986年在哈佛大学从事博士后研究工作,1987年至1997年在耶鲁大学任助理教授和副教授,在植物生殖发育领域做出杰出贡献,1997年起任马萨诸塞大学教授,2012年荣获CNS优秀研究员称号。她已发表100余篇论文,其中许多具有重大影响,她的开创性工作得到了美国国家科学基金会和美国国立卫生研究院等组织的支持,被引用超过10,000次。
范汕洄(Shanhui Fan),斯坦福大学电气工程学教授、美国国家工程院院士。范教授于1992年获得中国科学技术大学物理学学士学位,并于1997年获得麻省理工学院理论凝聚态物理学博士学位。他的研究兴趣集中于纳米光子结构的基础研究,特别是光子晶体和超材料,以及这些结构在能源和信息技术中的应用。他发表了600多篇参考期刊文章,并拥有70多项美国专利。
金海瓴(Jin, Hailing),加州大学河滨分校微生物学与植物病理学系教授。她于1996年在中国科学院上海植物生理生态研究所获得博士学位,随后在John Innes中心和加州大学伯克利分校从事博士后研究,她于2004年加入加州大学河滨分校。她共发表106篇同行评审论文,H指数为62,i10指数为99。Dr. Jin在植物抗病领域的基础和应用研究领域做出了重大和创新的贡献。
林芳华(Lin, Fang-Hua),纽约大学库朗数学科学研究所Silver讲席教授。林教授于1981年获得浙江大学数学学士学位,于1985年在明尼苏达大学获得数学博士学位。林教授的研究领域为经典分析和应用分析、偏微分方程、几何度量理论和变分微积分。他在Annals of Mathematics, Acta Mathemtica, Inventiones Mathematicae等国际顶尖数学期刊上发表论文200余篇。林芳华教授是美国人文与科学院院士、美国数学学会会士,并曾获众多学术奖项与荣誉,其中包括Alfred P. 刘建国(Liu, Jianguo),密歇根州立大学教授。刘教授在湖南农业大学获得学士学位;在中国科学院获得硕士学位,在佐治亚大学获得博士学位,并在哈佛大学完成博士后工作。他曾在斯坦福大学、哈佛大学和普林斯顿大学担任访问学者。刘建国教授长期从事系统生态与可持续发展研究,在人与自然耦合机制,尤其远程耦合复杂性的研究作出一系列原创性成果,拓展了生态学研究领域,丰富了可持续发展理论和方法。刘教授是美国科学促进会会员,并获得了古根海姆奖学金、美国国家科学基金会的CAREER奖和美国生态学会的可持续性科学奖和Aldo Leopold领导奖学金。
刘军(Liu, Jun),哈佛大学统计系终身教授。曾任斯坦福大学统计系助理教授、副教授、终身教授,1985年本科毕业于北京大学数学系,1991年博士毕业于芝加哥大学。刘军教授是国际上最早将贝叶斯模型和MCMC方法成功应用于生物信息学的统计学家之一。近年来,刘军教授投入对统计学习理论和方法的研究,在高维半参数模型变量选择及预测、高维复杂分类逻辑回归模型构造、贝叶斯模型选择等方面取得一系列突破性进展。刘军教授在2004、2005、2022年分别成为美国数理统计学会、美国统计学会和国际计算生物学会会士。截至2024年11月,刘军教授在各类国际顶尖学术杂志(如Science,Nature,Cell,JASA等)及书刊上发表论文300余篇和一本专著,被引用8万8千余次。
单舒鸥(Shan, Shu-ou),加州理工学院化学与化学工程系教授。单教授上海出生长大,后赴美求学,在马里兰大学获得化学和生物化学本科学位,并于2000年在斯坦福大学获得博士学位,并接受了生物化学、酶学和物理有机化学的培训。在加州大学旧金山分校完成细胞生物学和生物物理学博士后培训后,她于2005年加入加州理工学院担任助理教授,并于2011年成为教授。她和团队致力于通过将生物化学、生物物理学和机理酶学中的定量方法与结构和分子细胞生物学相结合,了解细胞机器在蛋白质生物发生和体内平衡中的机制。
周集中,国际著名环境微生物学家,现任美国俄克拉荷马大学植物学与微生物学系环境基因研究所首席教授(George Lynn Cross Research Professor) 、环境基因研究所所长,美国劳伦斯-伯克利国家实验室兼职高级研究员,清华大学环境学院教授。1981年12月毕业于湖南农业大学植物保护专业,1984年获得湖南农业大学昆虫学硕士学位并留校任教。长期以来从事微生物基因组学、微生物生态学、分子遗传进化、系统微生物学、生物修复、生物能源等领域研究工作,发表研究论文600多篇,总引用率超过55000, H指数123,是全球前0.1%的高被引学者。先后获得美国青年科学家总统奖、国际工业界科技最高奖R&D100(全球最具科学创新和技术突破的100项科技成果;美国能源部最高奖欧内斯特·奥兰多·劳伦斯奖(Ernest Orlando Lawrence)、美国微生物学会环境研究奖(ASM Award for environmental Research)等多项奖励。担任国际著名刊物《mLife》主编,《The ISME Journal>资深主编,《Microbiome》副主编,《Applied and Environmental Microbiology》和《mBio》前资深主编。
张复伦,美国国家医学科学院(NAM)院士,加州大学旧金山分校神经外科学教授,加州大学伯克利分校和加州大学旧金山分校神经工程与假肢中心联合主任。他于1997年在阿默斯特学院获得化学学士学位,2004年获得加州大学旧金山分校医学博士学位,2010年在该校完成住院医师训练,2009年在加州大学伯克利分校完成博士后训练。他曾获2015年度Blavatnik全国生命科学桂冠和美国国立卫生院院长创新奖以表彰他在破译语音神经密码方面的贡献。2022年,他获得美国国家科学院Pradel神经科学奖。
沈康,斯坦福大学生物系和病理学系终身教授,吴蔡神经科学研究所所长,霍华德休斯医学研究所研究员。沈康为华中科技大学同济医学院(原同济医科大学)1989级医疗系校友,1999年在美国杜克大学获博士学位,并在加州大学旧金山分校完成博士后研究。他的主要研究方向为人类脑部及神经系统的发育,研究成果以通讯作者或第一作者身份发表在Cell、Science、Nature、Neuron和Nat Neurosci等顶级学术期刊上。其系统和深入的研究工作为理解突触发育、轴突运输和树突发育等生命过程中的分子机制作出了重要贡献,曾获得Alfred Sloan award和Searle Scholar award等多种荣誉。沈康还长期担任Nature、Neuron、Dev Cell、eLIFE和PNAS等学术期刊的审稿人。
