2023年5月2日，美国国家科学院公布了新当选的院士和外籍院士。此次共计123人院士及23人外籍院士当选。
到现在为止，美国国家科学院共有2565位院士，其中外籍院士达到了526位。
美国科学院成立于1863年的私人非营利性组织。它是美国国家科学、工程和医学的顶尖组织之一，拥有来自各个领域的知名学者和专家，包括诺贝尔奖得主和国家科学奖章获得者，美国科学院院士是美国的最高学术荣誉之一。美国科学院 的成员由被选为院士的杰出科学家、工程师和医学专家组成。院士的选举是基于他们在自己的领域内所做出的卓越贡献和对整个领域的重要性。这些院士是通过对名誉和声望的高度认可而被选出来的。美国科学院 还有两个重要的附属机构：国家工程学院（National Academy of Engineering）和国家医学院（National Academy of Medicine）。这两个附属机构也拥有自己的成员和任务，致力于推动和支持工程和医学领域的发展和创新。

陈刚，1964年出生于湖北南漳，美国国家工程院院士 ，台湾“中央研究院”院士，美国人文与科学院院士，麻省理工学院机械工程系讲席教授 。
1980年陈刚考入华中工学院动力系。1987年在华中工学院动力系获得硕士学位，毕业后留校担任讲师。1993年获得加州大学伯克利分校机械系博士学位后进入杜克大学机械工程与材料科学系担任助理教授。2001年进入麻省理工学院机械工程系，担任副教授；2004年担任教授。2009年首次打破“黑体辐射定律”公式。2010年当选美国国家工程院院士。2012年当选美国物理学会会士。2013年担任麻省理工学院机械工程系主任。
陈刚的研究涉及热传递、纳米技术和能量转换，主要包括微米和纳米尺度能量转换与传输机理的实验、理论和数值计算。
林希虹，美籍华裔统计学家，哈佛大学生物统计学系教授。她的研究领域包括混合模型、非参数和半参数回归、统计遗传学与基因组学等。林希虹于1984年考入清华大学应用数学系，1989年获学士学位。此后前往美国留学，先后就读于爱荷华大学、华盛顿大学。她曾师从著名生物统计学家诺曼·布雷斯洛（Norman Breslow），1994年获华盛顿大学博士学位。此后她任教于密歇根大学生物统计学系，1999年获终身教职。2002年成为密歇根大学生物统计学系教授。2005年起任哈佛大学生物统计学系教授。2007年起兼任清华大学长江学者讲座教授。
潘多加于1988年获得北京大学生物化学学士学位。他通过申请CUSBEA项目来到美国，并于1993年获得加州大学洛杉矶分校的博士学位。潘博士于1998年加入德克萨斯大学西南医学中心担任生理学助理教授，并于2004年晋升为终身副教授。同年，他被招募到约翰霍普金斯大学，期间他被任命为HHMI研究员（2008年），美国科学促进会院士（2012年），并被授予保罗马克斯癌症研究奖（2013年）。2016年，潘医生回到德克萨斯大学西南医学中心担任生理学系主任。
Wang, Michelle D，美籍华裔物理学家，康奈尔大学James Gilbert White物理科学杰出教授。她是霍华德休斯医学研究所的研究员。她的研究涉及生物分子马达和单分子光学捕获技术。她于2009年被任命为美国物理学会会员。
Xiao, Shuhai M，于1984年至1991年就读于北京大学，分别于1988年和1991年获得地质学 B.Sc 和 M.Sc 学位。在中科院南京地质古生物研究所工作两年后，他前往哈佛大学在Andrew H. Knoll的指导下学习古生物学，并于1998年获得生物和进化生物学博士学位。在2000年加入杜兰大学地质系之前，他在Knoll实验室担任了两年的博士后研究员。2003年，他加入弗吉尼亚理工大学地球科学系，担任地球生物学助理教授。他于2005年晋升为副教授，并于2008年晋升为正教授。

周敏，社会学博士，美国洛杉矶加州大学（UCLA）社会学和亚美研究学终身讲座教授（亚美研究学系首任系主任）、王文祥伉俪美中关系与传媒基金讲座教授，UCLA亚太中心主任，美国艺术与科学院（American Academy of Arts and Sciences）院士。她还担任《海外华人研究》（英文Journal of Chinese Overseas）联合主编；《民族与种族研究》（英文Ethnic and Racial Studies）、《华人研究国际学报》（华文）、《国际移民》（英文International Migration）等国际性中英文学术刊物的编委以及《世界华人研究学会》（ISSCO）理事。曾任新加坡南洋理工大学陈六使讲座教授、社会学系主任和华裔馆馆长；中国中山大学长江学者讲座教授；北美华人社会学学会会长、美国社会学学会理事，美国社会学学会国际移民分会会长以及美国社会学学会亚洲与亚美研究分会会长等。主要研究领域是国际移民社会学、种族与族裔关系、新移民第二代、海外华人研究、亚洲与美国亚裔研究以及城市社会学。迄今为止，她共出版了20本学术专著，在著名学术杂志和刊物中发表了220余篇学术论文，包括：《美国亚裔成就的悖论》（英文，合著，2015），《美国移民第二代的崛起》（英文，合著，2016），《当代海外华人社会》（英文，编著，2017），《长为异乡客？当代华人新移民》（华文，主编，2021），《超越经济移民》（英文，合编，2023）。她的谷歌学术引用次数至2022年9月17日止达33360次。她荣获2017年美国社会学学会国际移民分会杰出职业成就奖和2020美国社会学学会亚洲与亚美研究分会杰出学术贡献奖。
