Position Description:
Dr. Yaoze Liu (https://www.albany.edu/environmental-sustainable-engineering/faculty/yaoze-liu) invites applications for graduate research assistant positions at the PhD level in the area of water resources engineering.
Specific areas:
- Hydrologic and Water Quality Modeling
- Urban Green Infrastructure (GI) Practices
- Agricultural Best Management Practices (BMPs)
- Decision Support Systems (DSS) for Water Resources Sustainability
- Food-Energy-Water (FEW) Nexus
- Interactions among Climate Change, Land Use/Land Cover Change, and Hydrology/Water Quality
Required Qualifications:
(1) BS or MS degree in water resources engineering, agricultural engineering, environmental engineering, or other closely related disciplines.
(2) Excellent written and oral communication skills.
(3) Highly self-motivated.
Preferred Experience:
(1) Hydrologic/water quality modeling using computer models, such as SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool), HYDRUS, SWMM (Storm Water Management Model), and/or MODFLOW.
(2) Programming languages, such as Python, Matlab, C++, or FORTRAN.
(3) ArcGIS application.
