Dr. Minghan Wei将于2023年秋学期加入佛罗里达大西洋大学电子工程与计算机科学系,现计划招收1-2名全奖博士生。Dr. Wei于明尼苏达大学获得计算机系博士学位。毕业后在工业界(iRobot,Google)工作近两年,兼有丰富的学术界与工业界的经历与经验。

研究领域

Dr. Wei 当前的研究领域在智能机器人的感知,建图,规划,以及控制。旨在通过设计算法或应用深度学习,克服在现实生产生活场景下运用机器人 所存在的限制与难点,从而使机器人在例如精细农业,环境监测等领域有 更广泛的应用。加入实验室能接触并学习到最先进的智能机器人相关知识,锻炼实践编程能力,以及与不同学校企业交流实习机会。

Bio

Dr. Minghan Wei will be joining the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Florida Atlantic University as an Assistant Professor in fall 2023. He earned his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Minnesota. Following his graduation, he gained industry experience at iRobot and Google for approximately two years before joining FAU.

Research Area

Dr. Wei’s research focuses on the broad area of robotic perception, mapping, planning, and control. By employing algorithmic or learning-based methods to address the challenges encountered by field robots, their potential applications could be significantly expanded, particularly in areas such as precision agriculture and environmental monitoring.
