A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Weibo Luo at the UT Southwestern Medical Center(https://labs.utsouthwestern.edu/luo-weibo-lab) to study brain development and disease using various state-of-the-art techniques including next generation sequencing, metabolomics, molecular biology, biochemistry, and neuroscience. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a PhD or MD/PhD. Interested candidates must have 1) a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and neuroscience, 2) a strong publication record, and 3) good communication skills. Experience with bioinformatics is a plus. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.
The Luo Lab studies epigenetic and metabolic alterations in development, tumorigenesis, and neurodegeneration with a goal of identifying vulnerability to treat cancers or neurological diseases. We utilize in vitro and in vivo models including genetic mouse models, patient-derived xenograft models, and organoid models in our studies.
