当地时间2023年5月10日，英国皇家学会公布了新当选的院士名单，三位华人学者当选，其中南洋理工大学的杰出大学教授高华建当选院士，美国西北大学教授黄永刚和前国家自然科学基金委员会主任、中国科学院院士李静海则当选外籍院士。

英国皇家学会是英国国家科学院之一，也是欧洲最负盛名的科学院之一。皇家学会的会员包括来自英国和英联邦国家的科学家、工程师和技术人员。会士和外籍院士通过严格的同行评审程序，以卓越的科学成就为基础终身当选。

皇家学会拥有大约1,700名会士和外籍院士，其中包括约85位诺贝尔奖获得者。每年，皇家学会会士根据“在自然知识的提高方面，包括数学、工程科学和医学科学方面做出的重大贡献”，最多选举52名新会士和10名新外籍院士。

入选华人学者简介

高华健，1963年12月生于中国四川成都，固体力学家，美国国家工程院院士、美国科学院院士、美国人文与科学院院士、德国科学院院士、中国科学院外籍院士，美国布朗大学终身教授。

1982年高华健毕业于西安交通大学工程力学系；1988年获哈佛大学工程科学博士学位；2000年任斯坦福大学教授；2001年起担任联邦德国Max-Planck金属材料研究所所长 ；2006年1月任美国布朗大学终身教授2012年当选为美国国家工程院院士；2015年12月当选中国科学院外籍院士；2018年5月当选美国科学院院士；2019年4月当选美国人文与科学院院士。

黄永刚，1962年11月出生于中国北京，固体力学家，欧洲科学与艺术院院士、美国国家工程院院士、欧洲科学院院士、中国科学院外籍院士、美国国家科学院院士、美国艺术与科学院院士，美国西北大学冠名讲席教授。

黄永刚于1984年从北京大学力学系毕业后赴美留学；1990年获得美国哈佛大学博士学位；1995年担任美国密歇根科技大学副教授；1998年进入伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳-香槟分校任教，先后担任副教授、Grayce Wicall Gauthier教授、Shao Lee Soo教授；2000年获得中国国家自然科学基金委员会海外杰出青年基金资助；2001年获得德国洪堡科学家和学者基金资助；2007年进入美国西北大学任教；2017年当选为美国国家工程院院士，同年当选为中国科学院外籍院士；2020年当选为美国国家科学院院士和美国艺术与科学院院士。

李静海，1956年10月25日出生于山西静乐，化学工程专家，中国科学院院士、第三世界科学院院士、瑞士工程院外籍院士、英国皇家工程院外籍院士、澳大利亚技术科学与工程院外籍院士，中国科学院过程工程研究所研究员、原所长、北京市科协主席。曾任国家自然科学基金委员会主任。

现任第十四届全国人大常委会委员，北京市科协十届委员会主席。

1982年李静海毕业于哈尔滨工业大学热能工程专业，1984年获该校硕士学位。1987年获得中国科学院化工冶金研究所博士学位，之后留所工作，历任助理研究员、副研究员、研究员、副主任、副所长、所长。1994年获得首届国家杰出青年科学基金资助。1999年当选为中国科学院院士。1999年至2004年任中国科学院过程工程研究所所长。2002年至2014年任中国颗粒学会理事长；2004年至2016年任中国科学院副院长、党组成员。2011年任中国科学技术协会副主席。2017年任国家自然科学基金委员会党组书记、之后担任主任。2018年任科学技术部党组成员。2022年7月，当选北京市科协主席。
