Dr. Ni’s lab has two openings for Ph.D. students and one opening for a postdoc, starting in Spring or Fall 2023. Prior research experiences in fire science, computer vision, and machine learning are preferred. The successful candidates will work closely with the PI on projects that meet the mutual interests of the PI and the candidates. For Ph.D. students, the ideal candidates should have M.S. degree in structural engineering, mechanical engineering, or fire protection engineering; admitted applicants will receive full-tuition support, stipend, and benefits. Ph.D. student candidates shall meet all admission requirements of the University of Maryland, College Park.
