The Research Team lead by Paolo Vincenzo Genovese is specialized in investigation Eco-Village, Historical Heritage Conservation, Artificial Intelligence in architecture. It is located in the Department of Architecture in Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, and P. R. of China. The Team is composed by people from several countries in the world and we are active in several international cooperation, workshops, and exchange students. We provide opportunities to connect leading expert around the world in these disciplines. We are involved in researches, publications, joint class at Chinese national and International level. Our research group have wide collaboration with leading universities such as Politecnico di Milano, Sapienza University of Rome, Polytechnic of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, and many other cooperation will be open soon.
Our program of research is ambitious and we are developing innovative strategies for sustainable communities, urban studies, the application of AI in space analysis and generative architecture design. Our research area touch several countries, like China, Italy, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei.

Supervisor:
Paolo Vincenzo Genovese is an architect and PhD in “Technology of Architecture and Environment”, graduated at Polytechnic of Milan with full marks. Since 2021 he has been Distinguished Professor, Master and Ph.D. tutor in the College of Civil Engineering and Architecture at Zhejiang University. From 2004 to 2021 he was full professor at the School of Architecture of Tianjin University in China, where he opened and managed courses in English as well as being Deputy Director of the International Exchange Office at this institution. He is the founder and director of the Lab of Bionic Architecture & Planning Research Center. He has been a visiting professor at the Polytechnic of Milan and Rome “La Sapienza”. He has published eight monographs, twelve collaborative books, over four hundred articles. He is consulting expert of the Joint Laboratory of international cooperation on characteristic resources and environmental governance in arid areas of China and Afghanistan of the Ministry of Education
China. Since 2005, he has directed, developed and completed two National Natural Science Foundation projects named Comparative Analysis between western and Chinese Eco-village and Research on MSA Strategy for Zero Emission Building in Chinese Eco-village. A Comprehensive Strategy for Affordable Guideline and another research about new standard green residential areas named New Standard for New Green Residential District for the Tianjin Science and Technology Commission. He is actively involved in the planning for poverty village alleviation in China. He is also active involved in the plan for “Toilet Revolution” in China.

Job requirements:

- Applicants must hold a PhD degree in architecture or engineering or a related discipline in the above-mentioned research fields (computer, engineering, information science).
- Relevant research experience onEco-Village, Artificial Intelligence in architecture, especially in the direction of urban analysis, genetic algorithm.
- It must be ensured to engage in postdoc research full-time after employment, and not hold temporary or part-time posts.
Salary and Development:
- 2 to 4 years fixed contract with annual salary from RMB 200.000 up to 350,000.
